Payroll Giving

Donating monthly through your company payroll is a really cost-effective way of helping Build A School raise vital funds as you are donating before you are taxed. The amount usually forwarded to the Inland Revenue instead goes to Build A School.

Payroll giving donations are deducted before tax so every £1.00 you donate will cost you only 80p.

For higher rate taxpayers it will only cost 60p if you are in the 40% income tax bracket.

How it works:

• Sign up to a Payroll Giving Agency if your company hasn’t already.
• An employee requests to make a regular donation to Build A School.
• The company makes the deduction before tax, but after National Insurance Contributions.
• An employee fills out one simple form so the Payroll giving can begin.
• Less is more!! At the normal rate of tax, a £10 pledge per month costs the employee just £8.
