Build A School has evolved from a simple school building organisation to focusing on education in sustainable living. Both causes are linked and valuable, but are a part of the global agenda moving the planet towards a peaceful and sustainable future.
Short term: Build A School is developing a sustainable base through fair trade shops that support the charity by allowing it to operate with less money going on running costs and more cash going to our projects.
Mid-term: Build A School will continue to support developing countries that are working to improve classroom capacity and work towards their Millennium Development Goals. The Tickbird Sustainability School in Malawi will become the model for promoting sustainable living to adults and children in Malawi and act as our foundation for replicating this model in other countries.
Long-term: Build A School will form a strong relationship with teacher networks across the planet and open international offices. Through improvements in renewable energy and internet connectivity, sustainability centres around the developing world will be linked up to share knowledge and improve together in providing education to those that need it most.
